Tumors of the Central nervous System (CNS) are a spectrum neoplasms that range from benign lesions to highly malignant and aggressive lesions. Despite multimodal treatment approaches, morbidity mortality high with dismal survival outcomes in these tumors. Moreover, non-specificity conventional treatments substantiates rationale for precise therapeutic strategies selectively target infiltrating tumor cells within brain, minimize systemic collateral damage. With recent advancement nanoplatforms biomaterials applications, lipid-based nanoparticulate systems present an attractive breakthrough impact on CNS management. Lipid nanoparticles centered immunotherapeutic agents treating tumors could convene clear need strategies. Immunotherapeutic can induce specific immune responses by active or innate at local site brain. In this review, we discuss applications emphasis revolutionary approaches brain targeting, imaging, drug gene delivery immunotherapy. Lipid-based nanoparticle platforms represent one most promising colloidal carriers chemotherapeutic, drugs. Their current application oncology especially has brought about paradigm shift cancer improving antitumor activity several be used Subsequently, lab-to-clinic transformation challenges towards translational feasibility gene/immunotherapy context management is addressed.
